The Test That Works
We understand that living with the symptoms of IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) is bewildering, as you constantly need to deal with why you feel sick so much of the time. You are angry that your body is acting up and preventing you from doing what it is you want to be doing. However, you have lived with IBS long enough to suspect that foods are triggering your symptoms and want to identify those problem foods.

YorkTest is the only food intolerance test proven to reduce IBS symptom severity in a valid clinical trial. In a study of patients with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), patients who carefully adhered to eliminating problem foods based on the YorkTest FoodScan results experienced a significant reduction in symptom severity over 12 weeks compared to the placebo diet.1

1 Atkinson, W., et al (2004), "Food elimination based on IgG antibodies in irritable bowel syndrome: a randomized controlled trial", Gut, Vol.53, pp1459-64.

Based on a survey of 5,286 patients, three out of four people feel better after acting on the results of the YorkTest FoodScan, the majority within three weeks.2 Both studies also showed that reintroducing problem foods identified by the YorkTest FoodScan back into the diet resulted in recurrence of patient symptoms. This further validates the accuracy of the problem foods identified by the YorkTest FoodScan.

2 Hardman, G.and Hart, G. (2007), "Dietary advice based on food-specific IgG results", Nutrition and Food Science, Vol.37, pp.16-23.

While imitation tests may claim to be accurate, they lack the clinical studies to demonstrate that their IgG test sensitivity will result in symptom reduction if adhered to by patients. Incorrect IgG test sensitivity leads to the identification of either too many problem foods or the wrong problem foods, both cases causing needless patient suffering and frustration.

This is why we believe it is important to choose a food intolerance test that is backed by research, accreditations and endorsements. YorkTest has over 25 years of experience in food intolerance testing and has been at the forefront of food intolerance research. As a result, hundreds of thousands of people worldwide have selected YorkTest FoodScan. As important, YorkTest FoodScan is the food intolerance test that is being used by physicians, naturopaths, nutritionists and other healthcare practitioners in Canada.

"I had classic IBS - upset stomach, diarhhea, bloating, wind, you name it! Every day I suffered from bad diarrhea and it had got to the point where I couldn't leave the house, even to go shopping, without planning my route via the local toilets. I was at a really low ebb and I have three children and I knew I had to do something because I was missing the best parts of their lives. The difference has been amazing! Taking the test truly was the best thing I ever did. I still have very mild IBS but as long as I avoid the foods that I can't have I'm fine. My life has changed so much. I can now go to my children's school plays, on trips, and attend appointments without worrying. YorkTest has changed everything."
